We started trading in government surplus in 1978 buying from all public sector departments in both the UK and Europe.
Projects included the Ministry of Defence from whom we purchased all things, from officer quarters to field hospitals, and the Department of Trade and Industry in Victoria Street, London, where we bought large quantities of office furniture. In the early 90s, we were appointed by BZW (the former merchant banking arm of Barclays bank, now Barclays Capital) to clear all their London offices, which accommodated 4500 staff.
